  Kingston Dock   Kingston Dock is a major new housing development overlooking the Clyde estuary and is spread over two comprehensive sites.

Our Client, a major multi utility connections provider and DNO has secured installation works across a wide variety of sites and projects in Scotland where Vital Power is supporting them by supplying HV & LV cable jointing, installation of internal mains and testing services. We have successfully maintained our Safety record on site where to date there have been no lost time accidents.

Vital Power in partnership with our Client has so far completed the electrical mains cabling and delivered connections to the majority of the homes on site. HV & LV switchgear has been installed, tested and commissioned prior to the site going live in September 2007. The second phase of the works is due to commence at the turn of the year. The works continue on programme and could complete as early as Summer 2008.

  Meter Installer  

Vital Power will continue to undertake Electricity Meter Installation throughout the Midlands during 2008. Our team of operatives are working alongside clients staff to ensure that all performance targets are achieved.

The majority of the operatives working on this contract have been trained and developed through the Vital Power Training facility based at our Liverpool office. With an excellent record of safety, quality and productivity our staff have proven to be  a credit to the company.

Following a very successful 2007 the Vital Power metering operations in the North West of England is set for further expansion in 2008.

Based at our Liverpool office the business has developed in-house work management systems to control the flow of information from our field staff through to our clients.

With our team of dedicated administration and programming staff working flexibly to contact Commercial and Domestic customers arrange suitable appointments our productivity is in the upper quartile of the industry.

Our excellent record for Quality and Safety is ensuring that our client base is growing steadily in accordance with our strategic planning.

  Example Meter  

Following another successful year Vital Power has agreed a further years extension to our  major Metering Contract in London.

The contract which encompasses all aspects of electricity meter installation will now run until November 2008 with a further extension available.

Our dedicated team of operatives undertake 1 & 3 phase re certification replacements, customer driven fault repair, test & inspection and 365 24hr emergency call outs.

During 2007 we  have successfully completed in excess of 22,000 individual installations . We look forward to continuing this contract to 2010 and beyond.

Vital Power is working  in partnership with TruRead to undertake the installation of Data Logger equipment throughout the UK.

The partnership undertakes the supply and installation of equipment and systems to allow for AMR, Automated Meter Readings, and energy usage information to be gathered on an hourly, daily, and weekly basis.

The range of clients varies from Major blue chip multi-site owning companies to SME,s. The information is utilised by our clients to measure and control their energy consumption and manage their carbon footprint.

Several thousand of the units have been successfully installed and we have had a significant increase in orders received for 2008.

  Auld Street Development   Auld Street development is a major housing programme which is part of the regeneration of the Clydebank area in Glasgow.

 

Our Client is a multi utility connections provider and has secured a variety of projects where the partnership with Vital Power has proved successful to date due to our combined experience, commitment to safety, quality and to environmental issues on site.        

 

Vital Power in partnership with our Client has developed and maintained the construction programme in association with the site Developer to ensure realistic completion dates on all stages of the project are met and adhered to.
 
       
 
     
  Project: The Shires, Leicester     Client: SEC                                                                                                                                       
     
 
         
  The Shires   The Shires West is part of the £350M Highcross Leicester development which will double the size of the retail space available. Within the new retail area there will be a new John Lewis store and a Multiplex cinema. This will be the only mainstream cinema in the city centre.

Vital Power are pleased to have been involved in this major development of Leicester city centre. Vital Power were responsible for the installation and testing of the new 11kV ring (cabling and substations) The work was carried out in conjunction with SEC under the NERS scheme. Final testing was completed on the 17th of December 2007 ready for energisation on the 19th of December 2007
